Amor Arenal Adults Friendly

This is easily the most tranquil, peaceful, and stunning place I have ever had the opportunity to stay at. You are enveloped entirely in the rainforest and truly feel one with nature. The spa was life changing and I have never in my life felt this level of relaxation and peace. Listening to the rain, monkeys, and insects while getting a deep tissue massage next to my SO will forever be one of my fondest memories. The staff was phenomenal and some of the nicest people I have ever met (as are all of the people in Costa Rica)! Our room was cleaned whenever we left the property and I can confidently say it was the most hygienic stay I have ever had. Additionally, the pools and swim-up bar were such fantastic places to hangout and relax after a good massage. The property perfectly blends a luxury stay with nature and I could not recommend it more. I could go on and on about how perfect Amor is but in summary; the Food, Spa, Services, Hospitality, Comfort, Location, Views, & Everything else were all 11/10!!

WOW! This place is stunning! The service and quality is impeccable. The beautiful casitas that are SO well designed, they are absolutely luxurious and a perfect vacation retreat. The rainforest shower, jacuzzi overlooking arenal, and the amazing bed are all markers of a luxury vacation. From booking to check-in to dinner to check-out, you are taken care of! Abigail was our concierge and she was so lovely and kind to help with reservations for the spa, recommendations for the hot springs (book in advance if you come during Christmas holidays) and keeping me informed of any sloth sightings! The restaurant at El Rancho is DELICIOUS! Really fresh and amazing meals catered to your dietary restrictions. They are SO attentive. We received amazing service from Emma, John, Jhonny, and Valeria. I am still craving their casados, Mexican healthy flautas, and the vegetable avocado soup!! We did one of the yoga classes which was beautiful on the rain deck with a great instructor and received amazing spa treatments by Maria and her partner. It was SO lovely we booked another session during our four day stay! You won’t want to leave here. It’s so gorgeous, secluded, and a perfect spot to explore the arenal area!

My husband and I stayed at Amor Arenal for 2 nights. It was truly a luxurious resort tucked away in the rainforest. The staff were all so welcoming and kind, they really take care of you for every request. Things we really enjoyed - the private hot tub, secluded view of the rainforest and volcano, dual rainforest showers overlooking the actual rainforest, massage in the rainforest, comfy bathrobes and slippers, delicious breakfast (smothered egg was so flavourful). We went to celebrate my birthday and we were surprised by a lovely cake and hand drawn card. We went on a guided hike that was quite affordable ($12USD pp) and saw many animals with a knowledgeable guide. We saw a sloth on our last day. 😊 I will say if you’re looking for a private, quiet getaway for a couple, this is the best of the best. But if you want a resort with more “evening activities” then elsewhere may be more appropriate.
