The Peninsula Bangkok

The Peninsula Bangkok sits comfortably in my top five hotel stays globally. From the moment I arrived, the service and attention to detail from the staff were genuinely exceptional - warm, intuitive and completely effortless. Nothing ever felt forced or scripted…. it was simply world-class hospitality done properly. Breakfast deserves a special mention. I initially hesitated when booking as it felt expensive, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of the stay. The selection of fresh food is mind-blowing, and the experience of sitting on the river terrace, watching the constant flow of boats along the Chao Phraya, creates a vibe that’s hard to beat. The only area with room for improvement is the rooms themselves. While they are immaculately clean, luxurious and extremely comfortable, they are starting to show their age slightly compared to newer luxury properties. That said, this didn’t detract significantly from the overall experience. I’d absolutely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. A truly special hotel that gets the fundamentals, and the finer details spot on.

We stayed 3 nights at The Peninsula Bangkok and had a very comfortable and relaxing experience. The service was consistently warm, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. The room was spacious, well maintained, and offered a beautiful river view that made mornings and evenings especially enjoyable. Despite being in Bangkok, the atmosphere felt calm and quiet, which we really appreciated. The pool and spa areas are excellent, perfect for unwinding after a day out. Breakfast was high quality with good variety, though not overly extravagant compared to some newer luxury hotels. The hotel has a more classic, timeless style rather than a modern or trendy feel something to note depending on personal taste. Overall A refined and peaceful luxury hotel with outstanding service. After a 3-night stay, it’s easy to see why The Peninsula Bangkok remains a favorite for guests who value comfort, elegance, and river views.

While the rooms in the Peninsula have an amazing nostalgic 90s feel and the grounds/pool/facilities are top notch this hotel also has the best service I have ever received. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay incredibly special. The following all impressed me so much in terms of the level of service they were willing to provide: – reception: they were kind, friendly, efficient and had everything ready for our stay to be as comfortable as absolutely possible – housekeeping: they were quick, efficient and provided an excellent level of service and everything we needed – dining: this is one area where the hotel truly, truly stands out. Nattha is an example of one of many, many amazing servers and staff members who look after you while dining with riverfront views. Yuth, the dining manager went above and beyond to basically tailor-make a plate of food that we had tried elsewhere in Thailand and he coordinated with the chef to make it happen for us -concierge: amazing as well. Everyone here was helpful and I must extend special thanks to Plai for giving us recommendations for an excellent massage parlor and for organizing a visit to a local temple so that we could receive a blessing from a monk. Every single person I interacted with here went above and beyond. Hopefully the photos on the website speak for themselves about the hotel, the boat that takes you around various points in the city free of charge and the level of luxury offered in the lobby and various areas of the hotel. I just wanted to highlight the service which is the reason why I wanted my last night in Thailand to be special - and it was!
