El Mangroove, Autograph Collection

As a family of five we stayed here for three nights and it was a wonderful stay. The standout best characteristic was the friendly staff. Wilberth was our favorite staff member providing a perfect combination of service with a smile and humor. We also loved Julian who was working the omelette bar. Ultimately, the breakfast buffet was our favorite part. An awesome selection, truly. Admittedly, they can work on the speed of service because we ordered room service to our villa and when it took too long for someone to pick it up, raccoons came. Ultimately, it was an enjoyable stay and a tremendous welcome to Costa Rica!

Great place to go right after landing at LIR: it’s so close and it’s so great to be at a beach so quickly. We paid for the all inclusive option for our 2 night stay and are glad we did. Didn’t have to think about anything before we headed elsewhere. The breakfast was great. The lunch and poolside options were good, but the dinner was unremarkable and expensive. Beach was lovely and quiet. Room was nice and had a separate screened in porch area which is great if you have kids and want somewhere to hang out after they’re asleep. The main pool was adults only, which was an unwelcome surprise but I understand why. It’s gorgeous. Excellent service.

Enjoyed our stay here. Very close to the airport so great if you are travelling with young ones. Also, easy to get to other parts of Costa Rica on the west coast. Facilities were beautiful and food was good. Loved the pools and had an amazing sunset boat cruise with the Azul team. Much thanks to Antonio for making the stay memorable.
