We stayed at the InterContinental O2 London for one night on 12/31, and overall, it was a very solid experience—especially considering it was a major holiday evening.
The evening did start a bit rough. As an Ambassador member, I do expect at least basic acknowledgment when using a clearly designated Ambassador line. While I don’t expect special treatment, it was frustrating to see guests walking up from the side being assisted while a queue formed in the Ambassador line. If a dedicated line exists, it really needs to be managed intentionally—especially during peak periods like New Year’s Eve.
That said, the rest of our stay more than made up for that initial hiccup.
We received our upgrade to a high floor with a fantastic view of the O2 Arena and the Thames, which was absolutely lovely. While the room did show some signs of normal wear and tear, it was well maintained, fully functional, and comfortable—exactly what we needed.
We had dinner at the Brasserie and truly enjoyed the experience. During service, we witnessed another table treating the staff quite poorly, and I was genuinely impressed by how professionally and gracefully the team handled the situation. One of the managers, in particular, was calm, confident, and clearly very skilled—an excellent example of leadership under pressure.
Although this was just a one-night stay for our first night in London, we really enjoyed the property and the surrounding area. Even with the rocky start, the overall experience completely erased any lingering frustration. Thank you to the team for delivering thoughtful, professional service on what I know was a very busy holiday night.
