Niyama Private Islands Maldives

​We recently stayed at Niyama Private Islands as a family of 5 (with 3 kids), and it was truly a phenomenal experience from start to finish. ​The trip was incredibly peaceful, relaxing, and calm, even with 3 young kids. A huge reason for this was the Kids Club. It is absolutely world-class! The team there was attentive and looked after our children exceptionally well, which gave us peace of mind and time to relax. There were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. ​The dining experience was equally impressive. The food was incredible, with a wide variety of restaurant options. We loved the amazing buffets and the themed nights that featured cuisines from all corners of the world—there was always something delicious for both adults and kids. ​Finally, the service was exceptional. The staff were super attentive, but a special mention must go to our butler, Shafeeg. He went above and beyond at every opportunity to ensure our stay was perfect. We cannot wait to return!

What. A. Dream. We had an absolutely magical time at Niyama. All the little details - from the airport pick ups and seaplane transfers to the level of service on the resort - outstanding. The beach villa was lovely, and the kids club was excellent. The biggest highlight has to be the food - we ate at the buffet all nights save one, and breadth and quality of food was simply outstanding. The team even asked us on our last day if there was anything we were craving and whipped it up. A huge thanks to some of the staff that made our stay extra special - Ritchie at the kids club who was so wonderful with our girls, our thakuru Ammi, Chef Pradeep who gave us a real taste of home and checked in on us, Nikhil and Mannan at the pastry station and Dewa. Abdoula who looked after us so well, and even brought out a herbal concoction to help my husband power through his cold. Imran for the delicious coconuts! And Steven, who addressed any concerns we have. We don’t have the names of the housekeeping staff, but they were absolutely fantastic. We can’t wait to come back! If there was anything at all I would suggest, and this is very much a nice to have is a nice tea / coffee hour with snacks. We had that at a previous resort and it was such a lovely way to get people together (if they wanted). And, it would be really nice to have hot tea / coffee on the dive boats with some substantial snacks post diving.

The resort feels freshly renovated, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. The island itself is quite large, offering many restaurant options, plenty of activities, and a great sense of space and privacy. We came for pur honeymoon and mainly for surfing, and our instructor Kayle was beyond amazing. In just three days, I was confidently standing on the board and riding waves. He is extremely professional, has incredible energy, and creates such a positive atmosphere. You can’t help but feel his genuine love for surfing and the ocean — it truly transforms the whole experience. Surf trips with him were an absolute highlight for all surfers. Our butler Albina was also exceptional — incredibly sweet, attentive, and always quick to arrange anything we needed. She truly cares about guests and has a natural sensibility for hospitality. You feel understood and well taken care of. Overall, Niyama exceeded our expectations, and we left with only beautiful memories.
