GOOD NATURE HOTEL KYOTO

We left the hotel a week ago, but the memory is still vivid and wonderful. The wooden and brass details throughout the hotel give the whole place a warm and cozy vibe. The staff were just as warm—friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. We really appreciated how they made the check-in process completely stress-free, even though we had separate bookings for multiple rooms. Our rooms were very comfortable and extremely clean, and the small surprises prepared for our special celebration were genuinely touching. We also loved the convenience of the location. You can easily walk to the Gion area, stroll along the river, and public transport is right around the corner. We especially want to mention how vegetarian and vegan friendly everything was, from the breakfast to the hotel’s supermarket and restaurants. That was a huge plus for us : ) Many thanks to all the staff for making our stay so lovely and memorable.

A total surprise find that I accidentally stumbled upon whilst searching on the internet! Nothing palatial, opulent and lavish here, just simple and tasteful refinement, appealing and gorgeous! Besides its convenient location next to a major metro-train station and Takashimaya department store and a short walk to the popular GION district. The welcoming ZEN vibe of this environmentally friendly and sustainable hotel, with its jaw-dropping, multi-story high ‘Green Atrium Wall ‘, covered with flowing hanging plants offers a calming, tranquil and serene surrounding and setting. Now, I can visualize what the Hanging Garden of Babylon was like! Ha! The super-spacious, well appointed, contemporary decorated room was designed to make the guests feel at home. A few Michelin rated restaurants with high Tabelog rating plus a fine bakery and mini organic super market also adorn the premise!......the organic ice creams sold in the latter were most tempting and interesting! All in all a solid 4*+ rating....highly recommended! If only the TV would provide more western, news, business and sports channels, then our stay would have been perfect!

Absolutely amazing hotel. We have just enjoyed 14 fabulous nights in one of their spacious, beautifully appointed suites on the top floor, where they even provide you with fresh pyjamas each night. The hotel is centrally located with a 5 minute ride to Kyoto's main rail station which offers the Shinkasen (bullet train) to both north and south of Japan. Buses are also frequent and seem to go everywhere. The hotel is very green, natural and eco friendly, so it's no surprise all the produce is organic and ethically sourced. The rooms and suites have a Bose Bluetooth speaker, Smart TV, iron, safe a Toto (big plus) and glass that separates the bedroom and shower room that frosts over at the touch of a button. Genius. Our suite had a beautiful wooden, Japanese style balcony with outside seating overlooking greenery and the city of Kyoto. Service is out of this world, nothing is too much effort and we were welcomed in the most hospitable Japanese way. You could also eat your dinner off every surface, including the floor, it is so clean. We ate in 2 of the 6 restaurants/cafes the hotel has, which range from local Japanese, to Italian. Again, food and service was exemplary. I highly recommend the counter at Buonagio where the Michelin starred chef cooks in front of you to absolute perfection. Breakfast is plentiful, with many choices from around the world. Again, staff are just amazingly courteous and respectful. We couldn't have wished for a lovelier hotel than the Good Nature Hotel visiting Japan for the first time. Put this hotel at the top of your list if you're considering visiting Kyoto.
