Had their Kakigori and were delightfully surprised. Perfect place for a short tea break in the Gion area.

We stayed here for 3 nights and didn't want to leave! The staff is wonderful - Mizuki-san was so thoughtful and helpful. The food is fantastic and every breakfast was something new to look forward to. We booked an evening in their private madeira bar, which is a great option for guests. Lastly, the rooms are fabulous (and enormous if you're used to Tokyo). We cannot say enough good things about Chourakukan - if you have the chance, stay here!

Food was yummy, staff are really considerate and nice, rooms are spacious and the toiletry kit was cute.
