The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu

Fantastic stay at Hotel Seiryu Kyoto. The property is beautiful and has the charm fitting of Kyoto. From the moment you hit the driveway off the busy street it’s an oasis of tranquility. The rooms are well designed, plenty of space for relaxing. Wonderful daily and turndown service. Restaurants were phenomenal, loved the partnering with famous French chef Alain Ducasse for Benoit restaurant on property. We enjoyed daily breakfast overlooking the courtyard and inside the library. K36 rooftop bar was hopping every night, the weather was great so definitely helped set the vibe, we had a blast. Private baths are a must, we enjoyed them after our early morning walks. Really starts the day in a clear peaceful mindset. Our favorite part of this hotel were the team members. Definition of Hospitality, every single person we encounter was the warmest and most friendliest. Welcome desk to rooms team, “Okini” for your warm hospitality. We look forward to our return hopefully in 2026, I full recommend this hotel to all my friends and family looking to visit Kyoto. Ps- The guest lounge was a daily stop for us (several times a day), what a treat for guest. Enjoyed the offerings and special events held daily. 😁

When me and my wife arrived at this hotel, the way we were greeted in the registration process we new this is gonna be one of the best experiments and we’ve ever had a five star hotel from day one it took very, very good care of us. One of the best perks that they have was free water, free juice and free alcohol in your room no Other # five star hotel that we stayed at offered this breakfast was very good. The best service that I’ve had in our adventures traveling around the world thank you again whoever ever decide to come back to Japan. Definitely stay with you guys.

Wonderful hotel, 5-star accommodations in a fabulously remodeled elementary school. Fantastic breakfast, tremendous staff, complimentary guest lounge with drinks and fresh delicacies. Breakfast is superb served in the library…ask to see their book about the history of the building. We stayed in the Four Seasons in Osaka and we loved our stay in Kyoto at the Seiryu just as much or more!
