Admiral Hotel Copenhagen

This hotel has so much character. The entrance has been remodeled and is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are super cozy and cute! There's a fridge with beverages, an iron, a blow dryer - things you don't always get in European hotels! The view is amazing if you get a room on the back half of the hotel as well. It's a short walk to Nyhaven. You won't regret a stay at the Admiral

I could not have been more impressed with my stay at the Admiral hotel. I was celebrating my birthday and they very kindly upgraded me to a room with the most beautiful view of the riverfront. The advertising for this hotel says ‘it’s an attraction in itself’ and it really is. The building is gorgeous, the bar is somewhere you look forward to ending your day and the room was comfortable and to a high quality. On a cold Copenhagen day you absolutely want their underfloor bathroom heating. I’ll be looking for any opportunity to return.

The neighbourhood is calm despite being central, which makes the stay feel grounded rather than hectic. The recent renovations show a clear focus on quality. Rooms are clean, contemporary, and well-equipped: Bluetooth shower speakers, Chromecast, solid water pressure, proper towels, and sharp detailing throughout. The building keeps its original character, but everything inside feels updated and reliable. In terms of room comfort and finish, it performs at a five-star level. Breakfast sets a high standard. Fresh produce, plenty of variety, and noticeably better ingredients than what most European hotels offer. Staff interactions are straightforward and helpful, and the service is consistent from check-in to checkout. Extra conveniences add value: canal-view seating areas, the option to rent boats, and buggy tours directly from the hotel. The area works in any season, but the canal setting makes summer stays especially strong. Overall, Admiral Hotel delivers a refined, well-run experience with no weak points. Central location, quality rooms, and a standout breakfast. A great choice and one definitely worth returning to.
