Dining

On-site restaurants

Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud

A prestigious two-MICHELIN Star restaurant known for its pursuit of perfection, offering sophisticated and immaculately presented French-influenced cuisine with impeccable service. (Note: Hotel vouchers are not redeemable here.)

The Garden Room

A comfortable restaurant with character, serving a less formal, all-day menu of whimsical Irish and international combinations, designed for sharing.

The Cellar Bar

Located in the original 18th-century wine vaults, this oak-lined bar is a popular, convivial spot for sipping pints, classic cocktails, and fine wines.

Drawing Rooms – Afternoon Tea

Home to the lavish "Art Tea" ritual, where miniature sweet creations are inspired by 19th- and 20th-century art, served in gracious surroundings.

No. 23

A secluded, intimate cocktail bar designed to feel like a private club, offering signature cocktails, Champagne, and whiskey tastings alongside exceptional works of art.

The Garden Terrace

An exclusive seasonal al fresco dining area surrounded by fragrant planting, offering healthy and delicious summer salads and refreshments (weather permitting).

Honest review

What could be better

  • The hotel must urgently conduct thorough maintenance and safety checks on all room furnishings, addressing the dangerous issue of a protruding metal pin in a chair that pricked a guest and ensuring all public-facing furniture is immediately safe.
  • Staff must be trained to genuinely and warmly acknowledge special occasions, rather than quizzing guests, correcting the feeling of being unnecessarily interrogated by a receptionist regarding a birthday week booking.
  • Management needs to address the low perceived value for the high price point, eliminating the assignment of side street-facing rooms overlooking bins and improving the breakfast quality, which guests feel is "just average" compared to less expensive Dublin hotels.

How we choose

Every hotel on this list is cross-checked across Google, Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Agoda and Hotels.com — plus first-hand traveler accounts on Reddit, Instagram, and TikTok. We screen aggressively for fake or incentivised reviews and weight only verified, recent, substantive guest feedback. We accept no paid placements and no sponsored reviews. When affiliate links earn a small commission, we disclose it; it never influences which hotels appear here.
