Honest review
What could be better
- —The hotel must immediately overhaul staff training to eliminate rudeness and hostile service , specifically tackling the snobby and dismissive attitude (like "Carlotta") that leads guests to leave the premises, especially when the restaurant/bar area is empty.
- —Maintenance and core room functionality require urgent fixing, eliminating the unacceptable issues of non-functioning air conditioning (rooms remain hot despite thermostat settings) and the lack of running water during key daytime hours (11:00 AM to 3:00 PM), which severely compromises guest comfort.
- —Food quality and service transparency need drastic improvement, addressing the reported "plastic" texture/taste of the mozzarella, burnt meatballs, and flat, bland tartare, and ensuring staff clearly communicate and correctly charge for all items ordered (like the confusion over "complimentary" versus added coffee).

How we choose
Every hotel on this list is cross-checked across Google, Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Agoda and Hotels.com — plus first-hand traveler accounts on Reddit, Instagram, and TikTok. We screen aggressively for fake or incentivised reviews and weight only verified, recent, substantive guest feedback. We accept no paid placements and no sponsored reviews. When affiliate links earn a small commission, we disclose it; it never influences which hotels appear here.
